This post is a response to a question by Victoria Wescott (writer of the blog Teach in London, as well as Classroom Canada Teachers Blog).
The college I attend is a Ottawa University, a private liberal arts institution. Their educational program requires all liscensure candidates (what we are called in the program) to be in the classroom quite often. This allows us to have the experience for the classroom and to know if we really want to be teachers. Being a liberal arts institution, some open minded thinking is required. Although it is a great institution, it's cost may steer people away from it. For those wanting a cheaper college to go to, then they can go to Emporia State University (which is the teaching college of Kansas).
If there is any specific questions about OU then ask away.
